Annual Conference
The Center for the Study of the Korean War's Annual Conference has a dedicated following of scholars from all over the United States, as well as veterans, students, researchers, and many people who for one reason or another have an interest in the study of the Korean War. To facilitate their interaction, the Center hosts an annual conference.
Make plans now to attend the 9th Annual Conference, scheduled for 28 February–1 March 2008. The focus for this conference is War and Medical Services. We are planning presentations exploring the various medical services that were and are provided during wartime. These topics include field care, transportation, orphan assistance, medical innovations, personnel, floating hospitals, and many more. As always, the focus is not limited to the Korean War.
We will be providing further information in the near future. Please contact us if you have an interest in presenting at this conference or would like to help sponsor any portion of the events.

Last Year's Conference
On February 22nd-24th, 2006, the Center for the Study of the Korean War held its 8th Annual Conference on War and Media in Independence, Missouri. Each year Graceland University sponsors the conference as an opportunity for scholars, students, veterans, and anyone interested to gather and share information, questions, stories, and academic papers concerning war.
The theme of the conference was War and Gender, and we were proud to have speakers from Graceland University, the University of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England, Georgetown University, the National Archives, the US Military Academy at West Point, Bryn Mawr College, among many others.
Look for all the papers presented at the conference to be published in The Proceedings available in the summer of 2007. For a copy contact the Center.
